The Federal Home Loan Bank of Des Moines and Fargo, N.D.-based Gate City Bank donated $850,000 last month to Fargo-based YWCA Cass Clay and local affordable housing developers Beyond Shelter and Cass Clay Community Land Trust.
The donations were part of a grant-matching program to spark affordable housing and community development. FHLB Des Moines contributed $3 for every $1 donated by the bank through its Member Impact Fund. Gate City filled out grant applications on behalf of the three nonprofits.
