Jefferson City, Mo.-based Hawthorn Bank named John Bowers chief strategy officer.
Bowers has worked for Security Bank of Kansas City and Kansas City-based asset management and financial planning firm Waddell & Reed. He has an MBA in business and finance and a Bachelor of Science degree from Baldwin City, Kan.-based Baker University.
