JCBank employees build Habitat for Humanity home for local family

Bloomington, Ind.-based JCBank employees recently helped build a Habitat for Humanity home for a family in Bloomington.

Habitat for Humanity of Monroe County homeowners pay a modest down payment, invest 250 hours in sweat equity in constructing their homes, and pay their home mortgage once construction is completed.

“JCBank’s leadership is guided by our core values of Honesty, Encouragement, Accountability, Respect and Teamwork – or ‘HEART’” said President and CEO Marvin Veatch. “The bank and our employees are committed to each of the communities we serve, not only to provide banking, investment and trust services, but to be an involved and supportive neighbor and partner.”

The work continues the bank’s financial assistance to the program. In May, JCBank donated $10,000 to Habitat for Humanity of Monroe County during an Indiana University baseball game. The bank is also a regular supporter of the nonprofit Monroe County New Hope for Families, donating $35,000 to the organization over the last three years.
