JCBank to open new banking center

Greenwood, Ind.-based JCBank plans to open a new banking center later this year in the city.

The location is the bank’s 12th center in south central Indiana and the fourth to open since 2017. The nearly 4,800-square-foot building will also include space for commercial and mortgage lending and wealth management services.

“We are excited about our recent growth trends in commercial banking, and plan to support this growth with our wealth management and mortgage divisions,” said President and CEO Marvin Veatch. “Over the last three years, the Johnson County market has been an important part of JCBank’s success.

The bank credits a number of key employees for making the construction of the new branch possible by cultivating key customer and community relationships over the past few years, including Vice Presidents/Commercial Bankers Jim Gray and Dave Richardson; along with VP of Retail Lending Mark Maloney and VP of Retail Banking Jason Knight are credited with cultivating the customer and community relationships that led to the bank’s decision to build the center.

“We appreciate the confidence the community has placed in our dedicated team and in our approach to banking, allowing us to expand our investment with the construction of this banking center,” Veatch said. “In the midst of the larger regional banks closing their branch facilities and placing less emphasis on in-person banking services, the JCBank team is devoted to carrying out its relationship-centric and customer-focus approach. We have an experienced team of lenders and will be seeking to staff our banking center with customer-focused associates to deliver on our community banking philosophy.”
