Michigan bank donates to school district, animal shelter

Iron Mountain, Mich.-based First National Bank & Trust recently announced donations to two local organizations.

The bank’s Iron Mountain branch donated nearly $18,000 to West Iron County School District for curriculum improvements as part of a quarterly commitment. First National has donated approximately $37,700 to the school district this year.

Bank employees raised $877 and collected multiple items for donation to Almost Home Animal Shelter. The donations were through a Denim Days giving program in which employees who offered donations could wear denim jeans on designated days.

First National announced the donation in partnership with The Scott Sanders Agency, Arlington Roe Insurance Broker and American Bankers Association Insurance Services. Each of the three groups presented $250 checks to the shelter.
