Michigan’s County National Bank to open LPO

Hillsdale, Mich.-based County National Bank will soon expand to Kalamazoo County by opening an LPO.

According to the bank, the expansion in southwest Michigan comes as part of “unprecedented growth in the last few years.” In June 2022, the bank converted an LPO into a full-service branch in Jackson, Mich. The $1.1 billion bank has 13 branches, two LPOs, a mortgage lending office and 19 ATMs across its five-county footprint.

“After thorough research and careful planning, CNB identified the Kalamazoo market because it has great opportunity for the bank to forge valuable partnerships with new clients,” the release stated.

The bank named Travis Grimwood regional vice president and Trent Pierre as vice president-commercial loan officer to spearhead growth in the Kalamazoo County region. Grimwood has nearly 20 years of commercial banking work, most recently as Kalamazoo regional president for another financial institution. He graduated with an MBA from Western Michigan University, Kalamazoo.

Pierre has more than 23 years of commercial banking experience, most recently as VP of commercial lending. He has a bachelor’s degree in finance from Allendale, Mich.-based Grand Valley State University and also graduated from the Perry School of Lending at Central Michigan University, Mt. Pleasant, Mich.
