The bank, with locations in Lakeville, Prior Lake and Elko New Market, nearly matched its 2020 community giving of $29,685 by contributing $29,703 last year. These donations included those given from the bank, employee customer donations which the bank matched, and sponsorships of fundraisers and special requests.

“We are serious about giving back to the communities we serve,” said Anita Drentlaw, CPA, president and CEO of New Market Bank. “By reinvesting profits back into Prior Lake, Lakeville and Elko New Market, we are supporting our local economies, our small businesses and the families who are our friends and neighbors. We’re a relatively small bank but our impact is significant.”

The bank chooses a nonprofit to support through its monthly Giving Back to the Community program. Employee and customer donations at any branch during that month are completely matched by the bank, up to a specified limit.

Nonprofits the bank supported last year included:

Lakeville Branch (L-R): Mortgage Assistant Barb Schneider, Operations Specialist Jaime Meyer, Branch Manager Mike Schlink, President/CEO Anita Drentlaw, Senior VP of Commercial Banking Dan Ringstad.
