North Shore Bank hosting drive for family impacted by fire

Brookfield, Wis.-based North Shore Bank is hosting a donation drive through March 31 at its Muskego, Wis., branch to benefit a family whose home was destroyed during a Feb. 14 fire.

The homeowner, a local Greendale, Wis., firefighter, was on duty at the time of the blaze. Though the family is safe, the home was severely damaged.

North Shore Bank is offering free coin counting at its Muskego branch. Participants can donate all or a portion of the counted coins or make a separate monetary gift. The bank is matching up to $500 of the donations received.

“Our hearts go out to the Schmitt family during this difficult time,” said Stephanie Ruiz, assistant vice president and community engagement manager for the Muskego community. “We want to do our part to support them as they navigate the weeks ahead, and we welcome the community to join us in this effort.”

North Shore Bank was founded in 1923 and today has more than $2.5 billion in assets and 45 offices in eastern Wisconsin and northern Illinois.
