One Community Bank donates $50,000 to community kitchen

Madison, Wis.-based One Community Bank has donated $50,000 to the local organization Little John’s.

The donation assists Little John’s capital campaign in renovating and opening a new commissary kitchen. The nonprofit partners with grocery stores to convert nutritious ingredients that would otherwise be thrown away into quality meals.

“Little John’s is bringing the dignity of a good meal to everyone, regardless of means, but we can’t do it alone,” said Little John’s founder Dave Heide. “We are so grateful to the team at One Community Bank that has once again come to the table with its resources to invest in innovative solutions.”

“One Community Bank is thrilled to deepen our relationship with Little John’s and contribute to the impact they are making in our communities to eliminate food insecurity,” added Steve Peotter, One Community Bank president and CEO. “We believe in investing in our communities, and we are very excited to present Little John’s with a $50,000 donation.”

The $1.5 billion One Community Bank has 10 branches in central and southern Wisconsin, with an 11th set to open in January.
