Port Washington State Bank promotes Mader, Gutsmiedl

Wisconsin-based Port Washington State Bank has promoted Heather Mader and Joe Gutsmiedl to vice president/branch manager of the bank’s Thiensville and Mequon offices, respectively.

Mader has been with the bank for 11 years. Prior to that, she spent 13 years as a commercial banker. Most recently, she worked with the Thiensville team to launch the branch in 2017. “Heather is an accomplished customer advocate,” said Amy Kauper, VP of retail banking. “Heather’s determination and care for her customers are a key element to the success of our Thiensville branch.”

Gutsmiedl, a graduate of Winona State University, joined PWSB in 2017 following a long career at BMO Harris Bank in mortgage lending and retail banking. He spent his initial years with PWSB as a personal banker in the Port Washington office before he was named the first branch manager of the bank’s then-new Mequon branch in 2019. “Joe’s dedication to his team and his customers are second to none,” Kauper said. “Joe is a true problem-solver and we couldn’t be more thrilled to have him among our team of branch leadership.”
