Prevail Bank announces charitable contributions to 27 organizations

Medford, Wis.-based Prevail Bank presented 27 local organizations with donations totaling more than $100,000 this fall.

The largest gift was $36,000 to the Farming for the Future Foundation to support the construction of a food and farm exploration center in Portage County, Wis. The donation was part of Prevail Bank’s pledge to donate $180,000 to support construction of the center in 2021.

Of the remaining donations, seven were for at least $5,000, including:

  • $5,100 to Plover Whiting Youth Athletics to build a two-story pavilion and renovate batting cages and dugouts. 
  • $5,000 to Price County Productions to support renovations to an historic barn on the Price County Fairgrounds.
  • $5,000 to St. Vincent DePaul for operational expenses of two food pantries and a financial assistance program for low-income individuals and families in Price County. 
  • $5,000 to independent living services nonprofit Good News Project for a capital campaign/building renovations.
  • $5,000 to HAVEN, Inc., for a transitional living building project for survivors of domestic violence and sexual assault.
  • $5,000 to United Way of the Greater Chippewa Valley for the group’s digital equity initiative to provide Internet services to qualified, low-to-moderate income individuals.
  • $5,000 to Logger’s United Booster Club to build an athletic equipment storage shed on the Phillips High School’s athletic field.

Of the remaining donations, four were for $3,000; nine were between $2,000 and $3,000; three were for between $1,000 and $2,000; and three were for less than $1,000.
