Prevail Bank donates $22K to local nonprofits

Medford, Wis.-based Prevail Bank reported donating a total of $22,350 to a half-dozen recent donations through its Charitable Contributions program, including:

  • $5,000 for Good News Project’s capital campaign/building renovations. The organization educates individuals so they can live independently at home and provides medical equipment needed to do so after an accident, surgery or other medical situation.
  • $5,000 to HAVEN, Inc., to support the organization’s transitional living building project for survivors of domestic violence and sexual assault. 
  • $5,000 to the United Way of the Greater Chippewa Valley to help provide qualified, low-to-moderate income people with affordable internet.  
  • $2,850 to Junior Achievement of Wisconsin to support student youth programming, including financial literacy, workplace readiness and entrepreneurship skills building.  
  • $2,500 to Boys & Girls Club of the Greater Chippewa Valley to support the organization’s operations in Altoona, Wis. Youth programming in Altoona includes mental health resilience, academic assistance, career exploration, workforce readiness, skillbuilding and other exercises.
  • $2,000 to Wausau Metro Area Special Olympics to help cover the cost of renting buses to take local athletes to their state and district games.
