Prevail Bank donates to local students, nonprofits through two fundraisers

Medford, Wis.-based Prevail Bank recently donated thousands of dollars to local students and nonprofits through two fundraising drives.

The $933 million bank recently hosted free community shred days at each of its nine branches. The drive resulted in the collection and shredding of 13.5 tons of paper, 55,350 kilowatts of energy and 810 pounds of pollution. Through the donation, Prevail Bank donated nearly $11,000 to nine local nonprofits, while the public donated nearly $2,100.

“Sustainability and building a better tomorrow for our customers and the next generation are important to us,” said Prevail Bank President Nathan Quinnell.

In the second fundraiser, the bank donated $1,500 to school districts, United Ways and Meals in a Backpack programs to support children in need of supplies or nourishment and an additional $750 to purchase school supplies. According to the U.S. Census Bureau and the Annie E. Casey Foundation, 13.4 percent of Wisconsin children live in households below the poverty level.

“Prevail Bank is very proud to contribute to the well-being of our local children,” Quinnell said. “We want to ensure no child is hungry and that they have all the materials needed to be successful in school.”
