Two Stearns Bank directors to retire

St. Cloud, Minn.-based Stearns Bank announced the retirements of directors Tom Williams and Roger Voit.

Voit was named Stearns Bank Upsala N.A. Board Director Emeritus. He joined Stearns Bank — at the time state-chartered First State Bank of Albany — 66 years ago as he finished high school. Voit retired from the bank in 2014 following a 57-year career. After retiring, Voit remained as a board member of Stearns’ Holdingford and Upsala N.A. bank charters. “Roger’s leadership, work ethic and determination to be the best is second to none,” said President and CEO Kelly Skalicky. “Roger lives by and embodies Stearns Bank’s core values, and he has been greatly admired as a revered role model for his entire career.”

Williams has been a board member for more than 20 years. “Tom’s business expertise and personal dedication to Stearns Bank over the years has been vital to our success,” Skalicky said. “Tom has been instrumental in Stearns Bank attaining industry-leading high performance over the decades and the driving force of Stearns Bank’s increasing contributions to achieve significant, lasting community impact.”
