St. Paul, Minn.-based Sunrise Banks employees and customers donated more than 600 toys and $1,475 in cash to the Toys for Tots campaign.
All four Sunrise Banks branches were drop-off sites for Toys for Tots, which is sponsored by the Marine Toys for Tots Foundation. Employees gave new, unwrapped toys to underserved children and teens across the Twin Cities.
Branches collected Barbies, books, Squishmallows, sports equipment, trucks, stuffed animals and Lego sets for organizations to distribute to local families. Several Sunrise Banks employees volunteered at the Toys for Tots warehouse at the Mall of America.
“Being a force for good is one of our core values at Sunrise Banks,” said Erica Johnston, a business banking associate based at the bank’s Washington Avenue branch in Minneapolis. “We’re so thankful to all our customers and employees who made sure all children can experience the magic of the holidays, even if their families are going through hard times.”
