Wauwatosa, Wis.-based WaterStone Bank received accreditation to join the Association of Military Banks of America and joined the Veterans Benefits Banking Program as a participating financial institution.
The program connects veterans with supportive FIs as approximately 250,000 are either unbanked or underbanked, according to a press release.
WaterStone Bank also provides active-duty service members, military veterans, reserve and National Guard service members with financial support and benefits through its Military Valor Program.
“WaterStone believes in giving back to our veterans for all they have done for our country and the freedoms we enjoy as a result of their efforts. These brave women and men deserve all the support we can give,” said WaterStone Bank CEO Doug Gordon.
