Wisconsin bank donates to youth athletics project

Medford, Wis.-based Prevail Bank donated $5,100 to Plover Whiting Youth Athletics to help the nonprofit build a two-story pavilion and renovate batting cages and dugouts.

The donation is expected to help PWYA continue to host the USA and North American Fastpitch Association Wisconsin chapter state tournaments. Tournaments hosted at the fields generate approximately $1.5 million annually for the surrounding communities.

The funds were through Prevail Bank’s Charitable Contributions program. “Nonprofits that help local low-to-moderate income households; stimulate communities economically; provide financial management education; and/or enhance the standard of living of those less fortunate are eligible to apply,” according to the bank.
