Wade VanHouzen joined Grand Rapids, Mich.-based Independent Bank as first vice president, senior commercial banker.
VanHouzen has 32 years of commercial lending experience, and has spent his entire career working with business owners in the Traverse City area. He will be working out of the bank’s downtown location in Traverse City.
VanHouzen has experience in manufacturing, insurance, technology, retail, real estate, and other sectors. He has a bachelor’s degree in finance and an MBA from Central Michigan University, Mt. Pleasant.
